David was making the bacon for our BLT dinner. The kids on the other hand were having blueberry and pecan pancakes with whip cream. It isn't very often that we do two separate meals, but this was a special occasion, we had our first couple of Tomatoes out of our garden...and they looked way too tasty to split up between 8! Mac was at my feet STARVING...begging for some bacon. I finally said, "Fine Mac you can have the burned pieces." (Remember David cooked it) It was pretty much charcoal. His reply was, "I like burned bacon." He starts to crunch away with a few Mmmmm, in between. Then he says, "I sink I don't want anymore bacon!"

Joey was teasing me and tried to get past me to go down the stairs. When I tried to grab him, he took a tumble down the stairs and hit his head pretty good. I kept him up about and hour past the other kids just to make sure he was okay. I put him to bed and about 30 minutes later we heard him whimpering. David went to go check on him and Joey was sitting on Masons bed throwing up...ALL OVER MASON! Poor kid was asleep and didn't know what hit him! David took him to the ER to make sure it was nothing more that a concussion. 3 hours later and a couple more vomits and he was home safe and sound. Mason is always good to take one for the team...but only when he's asleep.
We were in the car and the kids were singing to the radio. It happened to be the Katy Perry song, California girls. Apparently Mac was listening very intently to the part that says, daisy dukes, bikinis on top when he yelled from the back seat, "Hey Dad we have zucchini in our garden."
We were at the lake swimming and Dexter finally made it into the water! He jumped off and I caught him. I pushed him back over to the ladder and noticed there was alot of padding on his backside. I pulled his swimsuit back a little and noticed 3 pairs of underwear. I asked him, "Dexter why do you have underwear on and so many pairs?" His reply was, "so no bugs can get in my shorts!" I guess you can never be to prepared!
We went fishing with some friends today and while we were loading up the car Mason told Taylor to show him his muscles. Taylor flexes and Mason said, "My dad's are bigger." Not too worried about hurting anybodies feelings are ya Mason?

We have a dehumidifier in the older boys room that runs through the day, until Dexter turns it off. David was putting the older boys down for bed and turned it back on, Dexter looks at him with the most disgusting look and says, "Dad, it's off for a reason." I am pretty sure it got that "for a reason" from his dad! David had to laugh and didn't dare argue with "the reason!"
We were sitting watching the fireworks with our new friends the Smiths. Taylor (David's new BFF) Stacia (My new BFF) and their three little boys Tayton (5) Madden (2.5) and Dawson (10 months) My kids aren't the greatest with names and have nicknamed Tayton, Potato which was soon turned into Tater! Anyways, we were sitting on the grass waiting for the fireworks to start and Mac got close to Stacia and said, "Station, Gas Station, can I have another cupcake!" Stacia could not stop laughing that he thought her name was Gas Station!
It was a little past 8 in the morning and I was laying in bed...listening to my kids morning chatter until Mac comes running in, "MOM, TOBY HAS POOP IN HIS UNDERWEAR!" Dexter adds"YA HE DOES...EWWW, DISGUSTING!" Toby is running behind them yelling, "NO IT NOT...IT KIDMARKS...IT KIDMARKS!!" Nothing gets you out of bed faster than the "kidmark"alarm!
